ตำนานสมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช มี 3 ภาค        In English

ได้รับการยืนยันจาก ท่านมุ้ย มจ. ชาตรีเฉลิม ยุคล จากการขอเข้าสัมภาษณ์เมื่อวานนี้ (14 ธันวาคม) ณ ค่ายทหารกาญจนบุรีว่า ตำนานสมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช จะแบ่งเป็น 3 ภาค โดย ภาค 1 และ 2 จะเข้าฉายพร้อมกันในวันกองทัพไทยที่ 18 มกราคม 2550 ส่วนภาค 3 จะฉายปลายปี 2550 อย่างแน่นอน

ภาค 1 จะเป็นตอนที่ พระองค์ดำ หรือ สมเด็จพระนเรศวรยังทรงพระเยาว์อยู่ มีพระชันษาเพียง 9 พรรษาเท่านั้น ชีวิตส่วนใหญ่จะอยู่ในพม่า เนื่องจากพระองค์ต้องไปเป็นตัวประกันไทยของพม่า พร้อมกับพี่สาวของพระองค์ คือ พระสุพรรณกัลยา (นำแสดงโดยเกรซ มหาดำรงค์กุล) โดยที่พระเจ้าบุเรงนองทรงรับพระองค์เป็นโอรสบุญธรรม ถึงแม้จะเป็นภาคเด็ก แต่ในภาคนี้จะเต็มไปด้วยนักแสดงรุ่นอาวุโสฝีมือดี ๆ ด้วยกันทั้งสิ้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นสรพงศ์ ชาตรี สมภพ เบญจาธิกุล ศรัณยู วงศ์กระจ่าง ฉัตรชัย เปล่งพานิช เป็นต้น

ภาค 2 จะเป็นตอนที่พระองค์ดำ ทรงเจริญพระชันษาแล้ว และกลับไปหงสาวดีอีกครั้ง เพื่อช่วยพระเจ้าบุเรงนองออกรบ จนถึงตอนที่ทรงประกาศอิสรภาพ

ส่วนภาค 3 จะเป็น ตอนทำยุทธหัตถี

สำหรับสองภาคแรกนั้น จะมีโครงการทำบัตรราคาพิเศษสำหรับผู้ที่สนใจจะชมภาพยนตร์ทั้งสองเรื่องพร้อมกัน โปรดติดตามต่อไป

King Naresuan will be split into 3 parts

In an interview with Prince Chatrichalerm Yukol yesterday (14 Dec 2006) at the set in Kanchanaburi Province, King Naresuan is confirmed to be split into three parts, in the same way as Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Ring. The first two will be released on the Royal Army Day of January 18, 2006. And the final part will be slotted to the final month of 2007.

The film is still being on re-shooting at the time of this updating. But Prince Chatrichalerm confirmed it would certainly be finished in time for the releases.

Each of the first two parts will last approximately two hours long. The first part portrays the childhood life of King Naresuan in Burma where he was politically adopted as the Burmese King Bayinnuang’s son. The second part will feature on his life until he freed Ayuthaya from the Burmese occupation and declared the country's independence. Filmgoers can watch them separately or can buy a special promotional package to be launched at the time of releases.

The final part will focus on his life, mostly in numerous wars to save Ayuthaya, including yutthahadthee or the elephant war.

The Prince also denied the rumour that King Naresuan would be his final works. He still has several projects to make, including the Thai popular adventure novel Petch Phra U-ma (The Jewel of the Uma Goddess).
