กระทรวงวัฒนธรรมตั้งสถาบันนวัตกรรมวัฒนธรรม

         คุณหญิงทิพาวดี เมฆสวรรค์ ปลัดกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม เปิดเผยว่า ขณะนี้ได้มีการเสนอตั้งสถาบันนวัตกรรมเป็นองค์กรมหาชน ในการปรับโครงสร้างของกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม ตามนโยบายการปฎิรูประบบราชการรอบสองของรัฐบาล เพื่อส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมภาพยนตร์ไทยสู่สากล
        สถาบันนวัตกรรมวัฒนธรรมจะมีกองงานที่ดูแลอุตสาหกรรมภาพยนตร์ไทยโดยตรง ซึ่งทางคณะกรรมการพัฒนาระบบราชการ  ก็เห็นชอบในเบื้องต้นแล้ว   รอเพียงการผลักดัยออกเป็นพระราชกฎษฎีกาจัดตั้งเท่านั้น

Culture permanent secretary Tipawadee Meksawan said the ministry has now set up a new body, the Institute of Cultural Innovation, to help the Thai film industry.

The institute will be set up as a public organisation under the ministry's restructuring plan, and will have a particular division to look after the interests of the Thai film culture and industry.

Quoted in the Bangkok Post (27 August), Khunying Tipawadee said the ministry would concentrate its support on the new crop of filmmakers.

Earlier, filmmakers had urged the ministry to set up the Thai Film Promotion Agency to deal with Thai film affairs, including the issuing of laws, culture dissemination and networking of people involved in the film industry as is what is being done in South Korea.
